The success of the Brissie Big Air competition since inception can be attributed to two groups of people: our Volunteers and our Sponsors. The Brissie Big Air competition is a community lead competition. Though affiliated with Kiteboarding Australia and Kiteboarding Queensland, the event coordination and competition administration is organised completely by volunteers.

This has been made possible thanks to the support of the local community, local business, kiting brands and kiteboarders alike. Not only are kiters from Queens Beach North active participants in the sport, a lot of them are active members and volunteers of other local community and kiting groups.
